Is someone registering as Mickey Mouse really going to show up at the polls with ID saying ';Mickey Mouse'; and get to cast a vote?Why do angry, desperate republicans think that false registrations equals voter fraud?
my husband and i printed out our voter registration on line and mailed it in. 5 business days later, bingo! card in hand. where we live, you do not have to present i.d. if you have your voter registration card with you, although the workers are supposed to compare signatures. can you seriously not see how voter fraud could be carried out? Why do angry, desperate republicans think that false registrations equals voter fraud?
They've got to keep up the outrage of the base.
Only a Republican would secretly join ACORN, and then make a mistake that obvious. If they really were trying to falsify registations, it wouldn't be that blatant.
I'd like to see someone show up and vote as ';Joey's Pizzeria'; or any of those nonsensical fake registrations.





It's not like these fake registrations are going to CAST VOTES. Who exactly is going to show up and cast a vote for Donald Duck?





This happens EVERY election. I don't know why suddenly it is in the national spotlight. Maybe because Obama is so far ahead in the polls and the Republicans have little else to advertise?





It's not like ACORN has been taking people OFF of voter rolls like Republicans have done in the past in other states (FL 2000). THAT would be objectionable.
You said it, they are angry and desperate, and have nothing worthwhile to say, except slander and hate.
You must have led a very sheltered life.





People register to vote at non-existent addresses or at places where they don't live. Or they register in 10 or 20 different precincts.


ACORN turns in 200,000 of these at the last minute so that the Democratic Sec'ty of State in Ohio can say ';Oh, we can't possibly check them all in time!'; The courts allow her to get away with it.


ACORN could have turned them in bit by bit as they registered people but they did this on purpose to OVERWHELM the system and create CHAOS.


This allows the people who registered MULTIPLE times to VOTE multiple times.


Fake names, fake addresses, dead people, who cares?





They do NOT need ID - because that's ';voter suppression'; according to Democrats.


I have NEVER been asked for an ID in my life.


There are dead people on the voter rolls in my precinct.


People who moved years ago.


Some of them come back to vote and visit their old neighbors.


Then they vote again in the suburb that they moved to.


Vote early, vote often.





This does NOT happen except in States, counties and precincts where there are Democrats in charge of elections.

It's a THREAT to our Democracy.
Obama's campaign workers are pulling their votes because they were illegal. That is voter fraud.
Not every state requires ID. Not every poll worker is honest.





Why would you even defend any kind of fraud?
It's true. Not every voting place requires ID in order to cast the ballot. Now do you see why voter registration fraud can lead to voter fraud?

Secondly, If this is not an issue, why is the FBI investigating in at least 20 states?

They aren't very informed.


Every group that registers voters has declined registrations for all kinds of reasons.


The GOP knows this, so that is why they made a big deal of it. If you notice, the states that they are making a big deal of it, are the ones that have laws requiring every registration filled out be submitted whether the group turning them in knows they are bad or not.





Republicans think it will tie up the registration process to prevent people who are trying to keep Bush III from winning, enough so they can''t vote, along with being able to swift-boat Obama with it.





Realistically speaking, they are probably only using the Obama swift boat to cover up their real agenda of preventing people from registering and voting.


Minority voter turn out works in Republican favor. Large voter turn-out usually doesn't.
They are just getting itchy because they know they cheated in the last 2 elections and they are afraid the Democrats will pull the same crap. Since they can't pull it this time.





Republicans are sore losers. The war in Iraq is evidence of that.
Why would you waste paper on false registrations? I though democrats were behind the ';Green'; movement.
When some people vote as many as 72 times, it is a pretty clear indication that there is fraud going on.
Many states don't require a picture ID. It has happened before
