Why does society in general give people false hope?

All these ludicrous sayings like:

';Everything happens for a reason';

';There's someone out there for everybody';

';When one door closes, another opens';

etc.

Bascially, people are lying to a person when they use one these sayings. Nothing other than death and taxes are guaranteed in life. So why does society utilize these pointless and baseless sayings, only to give people false hope? Is this what humanity evolved to? Giving false hope to another, just to make that person feel better?Why does society in general give people false hope?
People often give these answers, because they- themselves are hoping and praying for them to be true.

Fact is, sometimes bad things happen and no good comes out of it. It sucks.

If people can make money out of giving people false hope, they will milk it for all it's worth- there are a LOT of desperate, lonely people out there.Why does society in general give people false hope?
men will fight for a superstition quite as quickly as for a living truth

these myths and false hopes are giving people a reason for acting in accordance to their opinions, just think how many times religions were used to breed intolerance and to enslave mankind.
Because the people that are more strong financially, mentally, physically can feel better about themselves. It's also a brilliant strategy in business.
