I have Crohn's disease and I'm debating to do the multiple marker blood test, but someone told me that they know some Crohn's patients who had tests that came back positive and the babies were fine. Could Crohn's effect the test results?Do pregnant women with Crohn's have a higher chance of the multiple marker test returning a false positive?
if i were you, i wouldnt worry about doing the test. i opted out of it..mostly because they really dont end up telling you anything. there is such a high rate of people getting bad results on it when it doesnt mean anything. and it doesnt give you a yes or no to anything..just a percentage chanceDo pregnant women with Crohn's have a higher chance of the multiple marker test returning a false positive?
There is no such thing as a false positive pregnancy test. False negatives are pretty common though. If you took a test and it was positive, you're pregnant. Your body only produces HCG (the hormone in which pregnancy tests detect) during pregnancy.
